PELEG AND THE DIVIDED EARTH

Genesis chapter 10 briefly mentions a man named Peleg and says the earth was divided in his days. The Bible doesn’t tell us much about Peleg, but we can uncover more than we see at first glance by looking at the scriptures surrounding the introduction of this man. For one, we know that he lived after the great worldwide flood because he was a descendant of Shem, one of Noah’s sons. He was actually Shem’s great, great, grandson.

Genesis 10:22
22
The children of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram….
24 Arphaxad had Salah;
and Salah had Eber.
25 Eber had two sons: the name of one was Peleg; because the earth was divided in his days, and his brother’s name was Joktan.

This is the genealogy of Noah’s descendants after the flood. The genealogy record in 1 Chronicles 1:19 says the same thing about Peleg that Genesis does; “the Earth was divided in his days.” What does that mean?

Well, some Christians believe this verse may confirm the evolutionary theory about Pangaea, where a great land mass or supercontinent broke up and formed the continents we now have. The Bible does say that God made one great land mass when he separated the water from the dry land on the third day of creation week, but the waters of the global flood drastically changed the surface of the earth while it rained for forty days, and during the time it covered the earth, and as the water receded.

Peleg was born almost 200 years after the flood. As I always say, we need to look to the Bible to develop our beliefs, not to the secular world that rejects God and teaches evolution. Let’s look at verses 1 and 5 of Genesis chapter 10.

Genesis 10:1
1
These are the descendants of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah; sons were born to them after the flood.

Genesis 10:5
5
By these men, the lands of the Gentiles were divided on the earth by languages, families, and nations.

How does that verse say the earth was divided?
By men. Mere humans. Specifically, the descendants of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah (Genesis 10:1).

What kind of division was it?
The land (Earth) was divided by languages, families, and nations.

One of Noah’s great-grandsons was Nimrod. Genesis 10:10 says the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and three other cities. Genesis 11:1-9 tells us about the Tower of Babel and says everyone on earth spoke the same language at that time; there was only one. Then the sons of men started building the tower to reach high into the sky to make a name for themselves, and to be honored by the people (Genesis 11:1-9).

God saw what they were doing, so he came down and confused their languages so they couldn’t continue building the tower, and he scattered them across the Earth (Genesis 11:5-9). Look at these next verses closely.

Genesis 10:31-32
31
These were the sons of Shem, by their families, and their languages, in their lands, and their nations.
32 These were the descendants of the sons of Noah, in their generations, in their nations: and by them, the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.

Genesis 10:5
5
By these men, the lands of the Gentiles were divided on the earth by languages, families, and nations.

So clearly, the earth was divided in Peleg’s day by Families, Languages, and Nations. This is a good example of how to study the Bible. Search the scriptures, and compare scriptures to understand all the Bible says about any subject. God bless you in your study of his holy word.

STUCK - PART 3

This is part three of a post from two years ago called “Stuck.” In parts 1 and part 2, I shared a few experiences, from when I was younger and got stuck in some bad situations. In part 3, I want to talk about a few other times I was stuck.
My cousins and I were out riding around the old back roads. I always liked going down roads I had never gone down before. We were in a place that is known to flood when it rains a lot. There were sand bars on the road and in the fields left there from times when the river had overflowed into that area.
The road was getting rougher the farther we went, and I didn’t want to mess my car up, so I decided to turn around and head back to more familiar roads. I soon saw a little opening where trucks and tractors entered the field so I drove in to turn around. Well, that did it. The tires quickly sunk into that sand and my car came to a complete stop without me even applying the brake. WE WERE STUCK!
We all got out of the car to see how bad the situation was. It was pretty bad. Just about that time an old car came around the curve and slowly eased up to where we were and came to a stop. There were several shady-looking characters in the car and one of them stuck his head out and asked, “Y’all Need Ne help?”
Now, as far as I know, those men may have been the nicest guys in the world, just out riding around, like we were, but we were just teens and, at the time, most of our experiences with people who drink had not been good ones, so we said, “No Thanks.” They drove on and we started working to get the car unstuck. It wasn’t as bad as we had first thought, so we got it out of the sand, and we were soon on our way.
Another time that comes to mind is a little disturbing to me when I think back on it, but I’ll just go with “desperate times call for desperate measures.” My oldest son wasn’t even two yet. He and I were out just riding around. I came upon an old road that I had been down several years before I started driving. It was once the main road that connected two towns, but it hadn’t been used by the general public in many years. It was mostly used by deer hunters and dune buggy, and ATV riders. It was literally a dirt road.
As I drove down the road I was thinking it was still in pretty good shape. After we had driven for a while, I came around a curve and the road was blocked. A tree had fallen into the road. Even if the tree had not been there, it would have been impossible to continue on because there was a mud hole right where the tree had fallen. I was thinking we will have to turn back, but I noticed a trail bypassing the tree and mud hole. It appeared that several vehicles had left the road and had driven around the base of the tree.
There was a hump all down the side of the road where the road bank was higher than the road itself, so I knew that might be a problem. I was driving a small Toyota car, and it was pretty low to the ground. I knew I would not get over that hump traveling at a slow speed, so I gave it some gas and turned the wheel just as I came upon the detour. Instead of the car going over the hump and around the tree as I had planned, the tire hit the hump and simply slid down it, turning the car back on the road, and into the mud hole, and up under the fallen tree. I WAS STUCK AGAIN!
I tried to reverse the car but it only spun. I had some experience with stuck cars and I was sure it only needed a bit of a push while someone gave it a little gas. I had a dilemma because I had nobody to help me. My son was only a baby and he couldn’t help. He didn’t even know there was anything wrong. He just sat there in his car seat looking around.
We needed to get out of there. We were a long way from the main road and it would be getting dark soon. There was no time to walk out. I don’t remember seeing any light bulb pop up over my head, but I had an idea. I could turn the car on and put it in gear, then I could control the accelerator from under the hood. Then when the car came out of the mud, I could pull the coil wire off and the car would stop. Great idea, right? I wasn’t sure, so I unbuckled the car seat and took it out of the car with my son still buckled in it. Then I put him on the other side of some small trees on a higher level so I could still see him and there would be no way for the car to get anywhere near him just in case things didn’t go as planned.
With the car in gear and the wheels turning backward, I started pushing and it started moving. It was working! Then all of a sudden the hood started closing on me. It was being pushed down as the car was backing under the fallen tree. “No, no, no!” I screamed. I had to kill the car and it was still stuck.
While my son was just sitting quietly in his car seat just watching the action, and I was standing there, totally frustrated and as mad as a hornet, I was wondering why these kinds of things always happen to me. Just then, several people came by on ATVs and a couple of the guys helped me get the car unstuck. I was grateful and I thanked them, then we turned around and headed home.
There are many different ways we can get stuck, both literally and figuratively, but no situation is impossible with God on your side. I don’t remember the exact words I prayed that day, but I’m sure I asked him to tell ME what to do, not to send somebody to help me. I’ve learned, though, that God doesn’t always answer our prayers the way we want him to. He answers them in a way that is best for us. What I tried to do was dumb and dangerous. That was my idea, not God’s. I know he sent those nice people to help us that day, and I’m thankful he did.
We need to learn to wait on the Lord like it says in Psalm 27:14. We need to stay in constant communication with God and develop a close, personal relationship with him so we can hear and know his voice when he talks to us. We don’t need to wait until we get into trouble to talk to him. He has a lot to tell us every day, so we need to be quiet and listen. Prayer is two-way communication with God. It’s the key to a healthy relationship with him. So start using that key today.

THE POSSUM CONNECTION

I was in the fifth, or sixth grade when I found them; Two baby Opossums. Back then everybody I knew just called them Possums, without the O in front. Their mother had been killed while trying to cross the highway, most likely under cover of darkness. I saw her when I was wandering around outside early one morning before school. I went down to the road to see what it was. The closer I got, the better I could see, and I soon realized it was a possum. A car passed by just as I reached the end of the driveway. Just then I heard a strange noise; a kind of hissing sound. At first, I thought she might still be alive, but then I saw something moving on her back. Just then another car zoomed past, and I heard the noise again. It was a baby possum. I waited for the traffic to clear, then I ran into the road to rescue the baby. As I reached down to pick it up, I saw another one. I grabbed them both and quickly ran back to safety.
I ran back up the hill, and into the house to show my grandmother what I had found. Since they no longer had their mother to take care of them, we got to keep them. I grabbed a shoebox and an old broom. I cut the broom handle into short pieces the width of the box. I spaced them out evenly and nailed them to the open top of the box. Then I turned it up on its side, and they had a cage with bars so they could see out. We fed them some milk, then went to school.
Guess what we did as soon as we got home. We ran to see our baby possums. I hadn't put the bars close enough together, so one of the babies had gotten out. We quickly began searching for it and found it in just a few minutes. We had to get a bigger box to keep them in, but they were always trying to escape. Another time one of them got out of the big box and disappeared. We searched the whole house. We searched for hours. Hours turned into days. Then three days later he came out from behind the refrigerator. He was tired and hungry, but he was okay. We were so glad to see him.
We loved our baby possums, and they grew pretty fast. With them getting bigger, and constantly getting out, and making a mess, our grandmother made a decision. We had to get rid of them. We were so sad, but we knew a woman who wanted them. She came to our house, and took them home with her, and raised them like cats. I’m glad they had someone to take good care of them. Someone to love them as much as we did.
When I was sixteen, I went to live with my dad for a while. He had found a grown possum, and was keeping it in a cage outside. One day he got another one and put it in the same cage just before he left to go somewhere. It wasn’t long until I heard a commotion outside. When I went to see what was going on, I found the two possums fighting. The new resident was losing the fight, so I opened the door to get him out, so he wouldn’t get hurt any worse. When I reached for him, he turned around and attacked me. His sharp teeth ripped a hole in both sides of my index finger. I still have those scars on my hand today to remind me not to mess with wild animals when they’re fighting.
A few years later, a guy brought a possum to work to see if anyone wanted it. I remembered having those two as pets when I was younger, so I took this one home with me and put it in a cage. I soon realize it was too old to tame, and I thought about setting it free, but I was glad I didn’t when I saw a few babies crawling around on her back. Soon I saw more and more. I secured her where she couldn’t bite me, so I could count the babies. I took them all out of the cage and found that there were eleven of them.
I started taking a few out each day to play with them. I wanted them to get used to me so I could keep them as pets. As they got older, I saw it wasn’t working. When I would go out to see them, the mother would always hiss at me. Soon all the babies were hissing at me, too. They would go crazy when I would pick them up. I think I would have had to take them completely away from the mother to tame them. I knew it was too late for this bunch, so I decided to let them go back into the wild. I lived in an area with lots of woods and lots of other wild animals. There was a river and several springs where they could get water. So, I opened the cage door one night after dark. When I went out to check on them the next morning they were all gone. I felt good knowing they were free.
My last attempt at keeping a possum for a pet was just a few years ago. My mother-in-law had found a young albino possum in her dog food bag. I went over to her house as quickly as I could and brought it home. My youngest son and I spent half the day building a cage for it. Although it was young, it was still afraid of us, and it kept trying to run away. I kept it for a week, or so before I decided to release it back into the wild. It wasn’t warming up to us at all, plus it was just too messy. We took him to a big wooded area, by a big waterway, so it would be able to survive. We let it go and watched it quickly disappear into the safety of the woods.
When God created animals, he meant for them to live peacefully with each other, and with mankind. He brought them all to Adam for him to give them all names (Gen. 2:19-20). There was harmony between man and animals until sin entered the world. After God destroyed the earth with a worldwide flood, he gave man permission to eat animals. He told Noah that the animals would now fear man (Gen 9:1-5). Today, we have domesticated animals, and we have “tamed” many wild animals, but that fear is still there, and it manifests itself in many forms and degrees in different kinds of creatures. It makes us feel good when we “tame” a wild animal. It gives us a sense of accomplishment, and we like to have pets that others don’t have, or at least ones that are not that common. Some animals are dangerous and unpredictable though. It’s probably best to leave wild animals alone entirely.
I also think we all sometimes try to recapture or recreate some things that brought us joy when we were children, but many times it’s not exactly like we remember; Like a certain food, we loved as a child, or a TV show, or movie, or even special pets. I think maybe, sometimes it was more the circumstances, and maybe the people we were with at the time that made those things so special, and no matter how hard we try, we will never be able to get that back. So we just need to cherish those fond memories, while we make new ones with the people we love.

FAMILY

Winter can be so beautiful sometimes. I love to see the ground and trees covered with snow. Everything is so defined. It seems you can see for miles through the woods where you usually are only able to see a short distance. This is about the only time I can appreciate winter. Most of the time I’m just wishing spring would show up and chase the cold away. I can live with the few times each year that it snows where I live, but what I really hate is the ice that winter often brings. Even then, it can be beautiful, but traveling is dangerous, and at times, impossible. Trees fall down, and roads and bridges ice over, causing wrecks. The electricity often goes off, leaving some cold and in the dark, sometimes for days or even weeks. The winter months can be harsh and bitter, depending on where you live, but if you look, you can always find a silver lining behind those winter clouds.
A few years ago we lost our electricity because of the ice. It was only for a few hours, but we didn’t have any idea how long it would be out. I felt so helpless. All I could do was call the electric company, pray, and wait. We sat down to eat just as it was getting dark. We lit some candles and a lamp and shared a candlelight supper. Then when the lights came back on, we played a game of Scattergories. It was a good evening of family fun. We laughed, we cried, and we laughed some more. We had a great time just being together with nothing to distract us. The electricity going out was a good thing because it gave us some extra time to enjoy being together as a family.
In today’s busy world with all the things we have to distract us, families are drifting further and further apart. We see it every day, and each year it just gets worse, but what many people don’t see is that it’s Satan’s plan to destroy the family. Family keeps us grounded. Family gives us stability and knowing that someone loves us and cares for us keeps us on the right track. Just look at what kind of trouble people get into when they don’t have family to rely on and to keep them headed in the right direction. Especially young people.
God created the family for a reason. Nothing happens by chance, yet so many want to believe that we evolved from a rock over millions of years. God is intentional. He knows what he’s doing. The Bible tells us, in the book of Genesis, that God created our galaxy, the earth, the ocean, the trees, the plants and animals and everything else. Then he told Adam and Eve to start a family (Genesis 1:1-28).
Family is important to God. Before he sent the flood to cleanse the earth from sin, he told Noah to build an ark to save his family (Genesis 6 and 7). Before he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, he sent angels to bring Lot and his family out of the city (Genesis 19). When he destroyed Jericho, he saved Rehab and her family (Joshua 2) and there are many more examples in God’s word where God preserves the family.
We need to learn to follow God’s leading. If family is important to God, it should be important to us. Families need to spend more time together and learn to support each other, not just when times get rough, or when we lose a family member. Too often, this is the only time some families can act civil. It shouldn’t take a death in the family to get people to be nice to each other.
Family is one of those things that God has programmed into our instincts but we need to be intentional about preserving relationships. The way things are in the world today, it breeds selfishness in all of us. We don’t take time for the family like we should, and some don’t even think it's important anymore, but God does. If he does, shouldn’t we?

NOAH'S ARK AND THE GREAT FLOOD

The story of Noah’s Ark and the worldwide flood has been one of my favorite Bible stories since I was a child. I’ve read it many times, and I believe it actually happened. Here are a few reasons why I believe it. History tells us that Jesus of Nazareth actually existed, and he talked about Noah and the flood. There is plenty of evidence all over our planet that there was a worldwide flood, and we have already established that the Bible IS the word of God, in the article called IS THE BIBLE REALLY GOD’S WORD? *

Many books have been written, and several movies have been made about this amazing story, but many of them are filled with error, speculation, and misinterpretation. Even in the church, there are disagreements about what actually happened. No wonder there are so many doubts and so much confusion about the flood.

You may ask, Why does it even matter? Well, the credibility of God’s word is at stake. If it didn’t really happen then the rest of the Bible can’t be trusted. Jesus said it happened, so if it didn’t, then Jesus would be a liar. Do you see now why it matters?

Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:32). When you read, and understand the truth of this story, it will make perfect sense and it’s very believable. When you truly understand it, your faith in God’s word will increase. Please, take out your Bible and examine this wonderful story along with me.

In the beginning, God created a perfect world and two people who were perfect. You can read about that in the post called IN THE BEGINNING. **

Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and sin came into our world. Their son, Cain, was jealous of his brother, Abel, so he killed him, and from that point on their descendants became more and more evil.

Genesis 6:5-7
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of mankind was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of their hearts were only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy mankind, whom I have created from the face of the earth; both humans, and beasts, and the creeping things, and the fowls of the air; for it repents me that I have made them.

God saw how wicked his creation had become, and he decided to purge the earth from all the evil. Being the loving Father he is, he wanted to give the people some time to turn from their sins, and do right. That’s the case throughout the Bible. He always gives people time, and opportunity to repent. But it’s usually a certain amount of time, as it was in the days of Noah. We can see this in the next verse.

Genesis 6:3
3 And the LORD said, My spirit will not always strive with man, for that he is also flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.

This is where the belief came from that Noah spent 120 years building the ark, but is that what the verse says? No. We’ll see in a few minutes that it did not take that long. All this verse is saying is that God’s Spirit would continue to work with mankind, and try to get them to change for 120 more years. He gave them time to repent, and to turn from their evil ways. Basically, he put them on probation for 120 years. They didn’t change, so the time came to destroy the earth.

Genesis 6:8-9
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

God saw that one man was faithful to him. Noah had not become corrupt like the rest of the world. Look at the next three verses carefully.

Genesis 6:9
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 6:10
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Genesis 5:32
32 Noah was five hundred years old, and begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Clearly, this is the same man and the same three sons mentioned in chapters 5 and 6. The way the Bible is written, the writer gives an overview of the story, and then comes back, and gives more details. This was the way in the ancient Hebrew culture. This was done to reinforce the story in the minds of the persons reading, or hearing it. We find this principle throughout the bible, but today this sometimes leads to confusion for people who don’t understand this principle.

Some strange teachings have come from the bible because many people don’t understand this. One such teaching is two different creations in Genesis chapters 1, 2, and 5. These two accounts are NOT two different creations. Both are the same event, involving the same two people, with the same names, but with more details added. This means that all the details are not always in chronological order in the Bible. The same story is often retold, with more details added, or sometimes there are less details. With that in mind, let’s keep going.

Genesis 5:32
32 Noah was five hundred years old, and begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

These three sons were born to Noah, and THEN God came to him and told him to build the ark. Not before they were born, but AFTER. That’s important (Genesis 6:9-14).

Genesis 7:6
6 Noah was six hundred years old …when the flood came.

Genesis 11:10
10 Shem was a hundred years old, two years after the flood:

That means Shem was 98 years old the year of the flood. That’s only 98 years, or less from the time God told Noah to build the ark until the flood came. That’s proof it didn’t take 120 years to build the ark. Again, the 120 years was a period of probation for mankind. It took less than 98 years to build the ark. Probably a lot less.

Another fact we shouldn’t overlook is that when the Bible says Noah was 500 years old and begat three sons, it simply means they were born in his 500th year; not the same year, but in that 100-year period. Notice that Noah was 600 when the flood came, and Shem was 98. That means Shem was born when Noah was 502.

Genesis 10:21 says that Japheth was the oldest, and Genesis 9:24 says that Ham was the youngest. So Shem was the middle son. If we name them from oldest to youngest, we should say, Japheth, Shem, and Ham. Japheth was probably born when Noah was 500 years old. Genesis 6:18 seems to say that all three boys were already married when God told Noah to build the ark, so that knocks several more years off the building time since they would have had to be grown men to marry.

Read Genesis chapters 6 and 7 very carefully. This time, these are not the same accounts retold. Notice the order of events. In chapter 5, Noah’s three sons are born.
THEN, in chapter 6, God told Noah that he was going to destroy the earth and everything on it.
THEN, God told Noah to build an ark and told him how he should build it.
THEN, God gave Noah instructions on bringing the animals, and food onto the ark.
THEN, Noah started building the ark. We don’t know exactly how long it took to build the ark, but we do know it was less than 98 years. Probably a lot less.

Obviously, some time went by between the end of chapter 6 and chapter 7 while the ark was under construction because, at the beginning of chapter 7, the ark is finished. God tells Noah he has seven days before the flood comes. He uses these seven days to get all the animals on the ark, and food for the animals, and for themselves.

Noah didn’t have to go out and gather the animals like most books and movies show. God said the animals would come to Noah, and that’s exactly what happened (Gen. 6:20, 7:9). He didn’t load animals from every SPECIES. There were some from every KIND. Two pigs, two dogs, two camels, etc. Seven pairs of clean animals, such as goats, sheep, deer, cows, and birds. Not nearly as many animals as some think. God is smart. He probably sent young animals. They would be smaller, so they wouldn’t take up much space, and they would live longer and produce more young to repopulate the earth.

In Genesis 7:1-4, the ark is finished. THEN God told Noah it was time to get into the ark. THEN he told Noah he had 7 days before the flood. He had to have time to get the animals and the food on the ark. He used those 7 days to do that.

THEN, at the end of the seven days, after he had done everything that God had instructed him to do, Noah and his family got on the ark.
THEN, God shut the door.
THEN, the rain came.

The flood came the same day Noah and his family entered the ark; not seven days later. Genesis 7:4, 7:11, 7:13, and Luke 17:26-29 make this absolutely clear. Read these few verses carefully.

Genesis 7:11
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, THE SAME DAY all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Genesis 7:13
13 In THE SAME DAY, Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark;

The Bible says Noah and his family got aboard the ark the same day the flood started.

Luke 17:26-29
26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until THE day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 But THE SAME DAY that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

Again, the flood came the SAME DAY that Noah and his family entered the ark, not seven days later. The SAME DAY = The 17th day of the 2nd month.

Genesis 7:12 says it rained for 40 days AND 40 nights. Verse 11 says the windows of heaven were opened AND the fountains of the great deep were broken up. Strong’s Concordance says the Hebrew word used here for “broken up” means the same thing as “Split, Tear, Break, Rip, or Burst”. So the waters that were under the earth Burst out when the earth split open. This is how the fault lines were created across our planet.

Genesis 7:21
21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and EVERY man.

If it wasn’t on the ark with Noah and his family, it died (Gen. 7:21-23).

Genesis 7:24 says the water covered the earth for 150 days, then God remembered Noah and all the animals and caused the water to start receding. They continued to decrease. Then on the 10 day of the 11th month, Noah started sending out a raven and a dove to see if the water had dried up, but it wasn’t. They went back and forth until the water was dried up (Gen. 8:7-11).

In the 600th year of Noah’s life, on the 17th day of the 2nd month, Noah and his family entered the ark and the flood started (Gen. 7:11, 13).
In the 601st year of Noah’s life, on the 27th day of the 2nd month, Noah and his family left the ark with the animals (Gen. 8:14).

So they were on the ark for 1 year and 10 days. Wow! What an adventure that must have been, and what a different world it must have been to return to. What an amazing story to read and study. It never gets old.

Here Are Some Facts To Remember:

1) Noah was on the ark for 1 year and 10 days. — (Gen. 7:11, 13; Gen. 8:14)
2) God sent the animals to the ark. Noah didn’t have to go out and gather them. — (Gen. 6:19-20)
3) 2 of each unclean animal (1 pair – a male & a female), and 7 pairs of the clean animals got on the ark. — (Gen. 7:2-3)
4) At least 2 of every KIND of land creatures and flying creatures got on the ark. That would include dinosaurs and Pterodactyls. (Probably small, young ones) — (Gen. 6:13-19; Gen. 7:2-3; Gen.14-16)
5) The Bible says Adam was the 1st man on earth. — (1 Cor. 15:45; Gen. 1:27, 5:3; Matt. 19:4; 1 Chro. 1:1; Luk. 3:38)
6) There was no sin before Adam sinned. — (Rom. 5:12, Gen. 3:1-24). There was no death before sin because sin brought death. — (Rom. 5:14-19)
So dinosaurs could not have lived and died before Adam.
7) God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them (including Dinosaurs) in 6 literal days. — (Exodus 20:8-11) (The 4th Commandment)

There’s so much more to this story, but we have to stop somewhere. As I said, we have secular proof that Jesus was real. He talked about Noah and the flood, so Noah was real, and the great worldwide flood was real, and it WAS worldwide (Gen 8:9). This is a subject of many debates and arguments. Any confusion on any Bible subjects can usually be cleared up, just by reading and prayerfully studying God’s word.
